Yves Bissouma is on the verge of joining Ajax after leaving Tottenham as a free agent, with the Mali international currently in Amsterdam to complete the move.
The 30-year-old midfielder has agreed to join the Eredivisie side on a contract running until the end of the season, with Ajax holding an option to extend the deal for another 12 months.
Bissouma became a free agent in June after Tottenham decided not to renew his contract. He joined Spurs from Brighton in 2022 and went on to make 111 appearances for the north London club.
His time at Tottenham became increasingly difficult during his final season, when he made only 11 Premier League appearances. He had also been left out of the squad for the 2025 UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain after then-manager Thomas Frank raised concerns over his repeated lateness.
Bissouma will now return to the Netherlands, where he previously spent part of his development before establishing himself in English football. Ajax will hope his experience and physical presence can strengthen their midfield as he looks to revive his career with regular first-team football.
