Dolberg Eager to Learn From Tolu Arokodare at Genk

Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg has opened up about his admiration for Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare, praising his teammate's clinical finishing and sharp positioning inside the box.

Arokodare, who joined Ajax on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has hit the ground running at the Dutch giants, netting five goals in just eight appearances so far. The loan deal runs until the summer of 2027 and includes an option for Ajax to sign him permanently.

Former Ajax midfielder Marciano Vink has also thrown his weight behind the Nigerian striker, predicting he could bag as many as 25 goals in the Eredivisie this season.

Despite going head-to-head with Arokodare for a starting spot, Dolberg says he views his teammate's rise as a chance to sharpen his own game rather than a threat.

Speaking to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, the Danish forward acknowledged coach Míchel Sánchez's push for more aggression in front of goal, admitting there's plenty to pick up from his Nigerian counterpart.

"I enjoy participating in the game, but the coach wants me to be more aggressive in front of goal. And I understand that. In that regard, I can learn something from Tolu, even though he is a competitor," Dolberg said.

The striker went on to praise Arokodare's instinct for finding pockets of space and converting chances, revealing the pair often discuss his approach to scoring.

"He is a specialist in choosing his position and is a monster in front of goal. I talk to him a lot about that. I need to start scoring more," Dolberg added.

The remarks highlight the healthy rivalry brewing at Ajax, with both forwards pushing each other as they battle for a regular starting role this season.
