Emily Fox has committed her future to Arsenal after agreeing a new three-year contract with the Women's Super League club.
The United States international, who joined Arsenal from North Carolina Courage in 2024, said extending her stay was an easy decision after establishing strong roots at the club.
Fox has enjoyed considerable success since arriving in north London. She was part of the Arsenal side that won the Women's Champions League in 2025 and has also collected domestic silverware during her time with the club.
The full-back has additionally been recognised individually, earning selection in the PFA Team of the Year in each of the past two seasons.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Fox explained that her decision was closely linked to her personal development and the environment Arsenal have created around the women's team.
When she thinks about where she wants to continue developing as a player, Fox said Arsenal feels like a second home. She also praised the club's investment in women's football and its wider connection with the community, history and culture surrounding Arsenal.
Her new contract comes after a period in which her previous deal had moved into its final year. Arsenal had remained confident that an agreement could eventually be reached.
Despite the European success, however, there is one major domestic prize that Fox still wants to add to her collection.
The WSL title remains missing from her Arsenal honours list, something she described as "unfinished business."
Fox acknowledged that the expectations surrounding Arsenal are high and that the pressure to deliver trophies does not disappear after previous successes.
Rather than becoming distracted by long-term targets, though, she said the team's approach is to concentrate on the next match and continue trying to improve.
Her attention will also turn to international football with the United States, with Emma Hayes continuing to oversee the national team as preparations build towards the 2027 Women's World Cup.
The USA have a number of important tests ahead, including a home double-header against Spain in October. Fox believes those matches will provide valuable preparation by exposing the squad to different tactical approaches and styles.
For now, qualification remains an immediate objective before the focus shifts fully towards next year's World Cup.
Fox's new Arsenal contract therefore represents more than a continuation of her stay. After winning major European honours, the defender has made clear that there is still unfinished business domestically — and the WSL title remains one of the trophies she wants to win with Arsenal.
