Lewis Hall has signed a new contract with Newcastle United running until 2031, ending summer speculation linking him with Manchester United, who had made the left-back their top target for the position. The 22-year-old has agreed a two-year extension to his existing deal, which still had three years left to run. Notably, the new five-year contract does not include a fixed release clause, strengthening Newcastle's position in future.
Hall called the moment a proud one, saying it's a pleasure to represent the club and its supporters, and expressed confidence Newcastle can achieve big things under new head coach Matthias Jaissle. Jaissle praised Hall's mentality and development, describing him as a key player in his plans.
Hall joined Newcastle from Chelsea in 2023 and has since made 107 appearances, helping the club win the Carabao Cup in 2025, while also earning his senior England debut in November 2024.
